inside my broken island way i found her face in the swarm she's walking through the trees now she's moving on there's no telling where she goes i dreamed a mountain on the rise lonely people camped with clever, feather masked disguise i loved you just like them there's no telling where she goes i am the raven down for you things that you might do so i say thing, anything to anyone then wait to tell her son there's no telling where she goes inside my broken wheelbarrow i found a tarot the heathen i had been the beautiful things i'd seen way back home there's no telling where she goes without humming empty roads i am stuck inside a ghost there's no telling where she goes without knowing what she knows i am stuck inside a rune beside a window with a ghost

Lonely Heart 03:03
sit on the steps of the deck alone comet comes in make a wish that your best would come fairy dust and you see helan on her lawn putting up her wet summer clothes and you don't have nothing might as well go home maybe you should go only heart lonely heart and you can't get her back or make a start with a lonely heart australian singing in the evening sun with the trees moving good memory moving on try to write it down but you can't write because your arm is numb from coming down because you thought you might have died without no one when you're done then you're done only heart lonely heart and you can't get it back or make a start with a lonely heart lonely heart lonely heart and you can't get her back or make a start with a lonely heart

go walking outside look there's a snow fall we can hide wind in my head just want to be better when it comes in oh how the rain how it washed me out and kept me home in bed now i'm walking my dog again oh how the rain how it washed me out and kept me feeling blue now i'm walking with you again, home the flask in your hands i just want to do what you wanted it's snowing in my head this time, i just want to do what you wanted oh how the rain how it washed me out and kept me home in bed now i'm walking my dog again oh how the rain, it washed me out and kept me staying in now i'm walking with you again home, through the hills we walked when we were young when we were young mama, i just want you to wake up pressing on i don't ever have to look up pressing on i just know where to take it won't do you wrong pressing on going home

ohhhh charlottetown i was never living you up as much as i was letting you down i rode the street cars when they started out i looked into a crystal ball oh baby i let you down i let down somewhere close to me in charlottetown life never meant the most to me til' i was playing around not doing really much down in charlottetown it was my first good look you and your sister did a lot of drugs in charlottetown i only had a little bit it's enough to last a lifetime charlottetown yeah it's winter now i'm putting up the christmas tree in charlottetown and where's the woman that i thought, i could have talked to her all day memory and lights ignite in charlottetown it was my first good luck you and your sister did a lot of drugs in charlottetown i only had a little bit it's enough to last a lifetime charlottetown ohh there's nothing to say it was always that way in charlottetown i walk the ghost streets though they're crowded now and look into a crystal ball til' we're gone

i know you think i did it every time but i rarely rushed out into the night i stayed at home under the kitchen light my little truth and your big lies spring drank all the wine the sun always in my eyes look who you're talking to out of the black and into the blue moon permanent scars and fixed stars then coming back from this and that winnipeg city i think about you all the time driving and swerving and drinking wine in a car i know you told me so but there's no one on these old empty roads and it's really coming down over the hills and into the towns for you head outside with me into the fiction night you're only truly wrong when you know you're right you're the little bit in my life

Helan 02:42
helan i don't mind anymore i've been given up long before there's a white owl at the door black eyes and i've seen it before on the lake ice out skating looking through, imagining faces and what they'd be saying laying down and waiting there's no beginning, there's a turn never be satisfied with a word and what you do learn will burn keep you up, make you remember the life that you had earned from work doesn't matter when it's a dead end it doesn't matter where you go i've been giving eyes out, i've been trying wake up, are you living or dying you're walking up the wall trying to get a look at something that wasn't at all never laughed like this hour before it doesn't matter where you go
